QMCI, or: The Rocket Scientist That Can't Program a VCR

In addition to my routine treatments, today Dr. V- wanted to reanalyze my health with a biofeedback machine called QMCI (Quantum Medical Consciousness Interface System) as a complementary technique. I understood biofeedback from my degree in psychology, but when I actually sat down for the experience, it boggled my mind.

Straps were placed on the ankles, wrists and head to take readings. No biggie there. But the program used to analyze the data looks SO weird! It makes all sorts of funny sounds and colors, my rational mind is telling me that it can't be for real. But the odd thing was that it was picking up stuff on me that it should not have been able to - even stuff I didn't mention to the doctor. Stuff like being thirsty and having stress, anyone might expect. Picking up on the exact locations of injuries I have had from years and years ago?! It went on & on with details that were too close to the mark to be at random.

I don't understand the how or why, but I suppose it doesn't matter, as long as it helps the Doc figure out where we need to go from here. Hey, it couldn't hurt!

But to the inventor of the technique & program: please, please PLEASE, if you want people to take this method seriously, you need a better programmer for the visuals!

I found some links on it online explaining it better.

Seems to also be known as QXCI also...another link.

Whew!

Hubby put me on the scale - I was too scared to look. It all came back, just like they all said it would. 91.5 again. Thank God.

An odd thing is happening... little fibers in my body have been dancing on and off...am I growing muscle?

Just My Luck!

I stuff myself with red meat the night before, and then they announce that the first incedent of Mad Cow strikes the US. Good God, I didn't know they actually sell meat from "downer cows" or sick animals to humans! I have always been one who believes in not wasting food, but this is rediculous!

I'm having a celebratory T-bone with my family tonight. After this, it's either kosher or organic for me. I'm going to enjoy my Christmas! Let the rest of the world worry about it.

A Beefy Breakdown

I checked the scale today. 89.5 lbs. I was stable for so long....

I totally lost it today. I couldn't stop crying. I yelled inside & out ''I don't want to die!". I had promised myself if I dropped under 90 I would put myself in he hospital. But what would they do? They don't understand, and they don't care. I KNOW I am on the right track, but progress isn't linear, as I'd like it to be. These two weeks really broke me.

My hubby, and D- comforted me, and afterward made it clear this was to be expected (later even my parents said the same which surprised me). Once I got to the Doc's office, he declared the treatment successful. Thank God - I wasn't doing that again! I could now slowly integrate foods back in...eventually even foods I was allergic to before! We would now move onto symptom care. Hubby was most excited that I could try red meat again, and he and my friend planned to take me to an all you can eat meat rotisserie place to plump me up again. I cried my last tears during accupunture, let the treatments clean me up, and determined to move on. There is no where to go but UP.

It reminds me a scene from one of my favorite movies, Labyrinth, when Sarah is trying to reach her goal:

Sarah: (to the old man) Excuse me, please, but can you help me?
Wiseman: Oh! A young girl.
Hat: Who? Who? Who?
Wiseman: (looks at Hoggle) And who is this?
Sarah: My friend. (Hoggle gives her a funny look.)
Wiseman: Oh. What can I do for you?
Sarah: I have to the castle at the center of the Labyrinth. Do you know the way?
Wiseman: Ah.
Hat: Ah.
Wiseman: Eh?
Hat: Eh?
Wiseman: Oh, yes. Huh. You want to go to the castle?
Hat: How that for brainpower, huh?
Wiseman: Be quiet!
Hat: Ah, nuts.
Wiseman: Sometimes the way forward is also the way back.
Hat: Aye! Will you listen to this crap!
Wiseman: Will you please be quiet!
Hat: All right.
Wiseman: Ok?
Hat: Ok.
Wiseman: All right.
Hat: All right. Sorry.
Wiseman: Finished?
Hat: Yes.
Wiseman: Quite often, young lady, it seems like we're not getting anywhere, when in fact...
Hat: We are.
Wiseman: We are.

Sarah: I'm not getting anywhere at the moment.
Hat: Ha! Join the club. (Looks down and sees that the old man has fallen asleep.) I think that's your lot. Please leave a contribution in the little box.

Anyway, I did eat a variety of non-greasy looking meats when we got to the restaurant (chicken, flank steak, roast beef). Funny, I thought I would like the taste more than I did - guess beef has lost its thrill for me. One things for sure - my insides haven't had a stretching like this in ages! The guys kept a good eye on me though, and D- kept me smiling and laughing with jokes. They say color returned to my cheeks today.

On Food Combining

Dr. V- is a firm believer in it. I gave it a two week trial, but sugars & seizure worsened - my weight dropped down too - very scary. When I stopped, my symptoms improved. But I did learn a lot of things in the process, like which foods slow my digestion down, or speeds it up.

Hopefully this experience is supposed to help me in the long run - maybe it's like teaching my stomach what enzymes are used for what foods.

Dream: An Angel's Warning

I love dream analysis. It's something I have done for many years. I know the ins and outs of dreaming, even lucid dreaming. But there are some dreams that go far beyond, too real to be explained away.

I had a dream of my deceased father in law. I never have dreamed of him, ever. He didn't have much time, but he came to my room, sure as if it were actually happening. He was very sad. He told me if I didn't change the way I was eating, I would die in six months.

It scared me so bad, but I haven't told anyone. I know some people would think it's crazy, but I really think it was him. I don't want to bring back past sad memories to anyone, and I don't want to scare anyone further - they are already worried about me.

I'm taking a break from all this Atkins stuff for the holidays, and then I'll try to make things better - somehow.

Time to Get Holly Jolly!

Being that I've been so sensitive to fragance - and I'm also aware of how bad most of those nice smelling items actually are - I haven't gotten around to Christmas decoration. All I could think of was how I couldn't have a tree in the house, so I just kept dedicating my last bits of energy to the same old chores.

I snapped out of it and remembered all the good things I still do have, and put on the "all-holiday-all-the-time" radio station (WNEW-FM, Blink, or whatever the heck they are calling themselves). Instead of a tree, I took all the glass ornaments and put them in a pretty bowl, strung up the lights & beads on the walls, and left a prominent place for Hubby's brand new oil menorah (my Chanukah gift for him). The light in the dark and snow of winter really perk me up.

...besides, the dishes will be there tomorrow.
